This year, Zenith will perform at Westminster Hall in Minneapolis with a program titled Mirrors of Humanity. Through music, the concert explores what it means to be human by reflecting on the themes of love, individuality, resilience, and hope. Each work offers a different perspective on the experiences that connect us, inviting audiences to reflect on both themselves and the world around them.

The program features music by renowned handbell composers such as Karen Lakey Buckwalter and Fred Gramann, alongside works from the broader musical landscape. Audiences will hear everything from the energetic rhythms of Bacchanale to music inspired by the acclaimed video game Clair Obscur: Expedition 33. Together, these diverse selections create a powerful and engaging concert that celebrates the many facets of the human experience. We are excited to share this musical journey with you.

Please join us for our second concert, “Echoes of the Heart”, at the Mondzac Performing Arts Center at Landon School in Bethesda, MD on August 3rd at 4:30 PM! This concert will feature a vast repertoire of exciting and moving compositions and arrangements that takes handbells to a whole new level. From exciting original works by directors Matthew Compton and Alex Guebert that showcase the virtuosic nature of the instrument to the absolute sublime quiet of Craig Hella Johnson’s The Innocence from “Considering Matthew Shepard,” this will be a concert that you won’t forget.
